Circularity in Facility Management: Conceptualisation and Potential Areas for Circularity-Oriented Actions

Although literature discussing materials circularity in the built environment sector is well-developed, we have a limited understanding of facility services because most often generalises building operations, ignoring applications via service streams. Thus, owing to nature management, providers’ remit, and operation functions, this paper makes first-order attempt conceptualise context identify areas corresponding key functions performance improvement criteria. Facility an important stream for it includes range ensuring better condition, quality, serviceability, durability assets. Understanding research undertaken highlight services, uses review qualitative content analysis categorise three scopes (procurement, use, end life) circularity-oriented action delivery.
